Dr. Uttayan Chakrabarti is a consultant Nephrologist and transplant physician currently working as a consultant in the Department of Nephrology, Manipal Hospital, Dhakuria. He completed his MBBS from Medical College, Kolkata, in 2016, his MD in Internal Medicine from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, in 2020, and his DM Nephrology from AIIMS Jodhpur in 2024.

He has expertise in treating general nephrology cases, including glomerular and tubulointerstitial disorders, chronic kidney diseases, and acute kidney injuries and diseases. He has in-depth knowledge of all the modalities of dialysis including HD, HDF, CRRT, SLED, and PD. He has dealt with both ABO compatible and incompatible transplants, HLA incompatible and deceased transplants including their pre-transplant workup and managing their post-transplant complications. He is well-versed in managing ICU patients requiring nephrological intervention and in doing the procedures in the form of kidney biopsies and both tunneled and non-tunneled catheter insertions.
